Throughout the week, I'm on quite a few different computer systems... my goals for this site are two-fold. One, to provide myself with a single web resource that I can use to quickly link between all the different interests I have online without having to keep bookmarks of everything I like on every computer in which I come in contact.
Automated bar update!So the time to actually buy something to work with is quickly approaching... I like working on the software portion of things, because there is rarely any monetary investment required. But I've just about completed all I can do on the automated bar without actually having pumps and serial boards and other fun toys with which to work. So since the software portion (minus hardware specific programming) are fairly complete, I'll be putting up some pictures on the automated bar page so that everyone who would like can take a look and tell me how they would've done it better! :-p In the interest of moving forward, I've also put in an ebay bid to pick up a FloJet pump. From what I've been able to find, it looks like the most easily available, as well as appropriate, pump I can find. And if I can get the one to work, then I'll invest in a few more to get things moving along! If anyone has any knowledge about how to make a serial board run a pump, I'd definitely be interested in hearing from you!

EnologyAlexander's Skyway Apartment Winery at Pebble Cove of Fairwood has begun processing it's 2008 vintage: Merlot! Primary fermentation completed and the must was pressed November 9th. Currently the wine is undergoing malo-lactic and secondary fermentation, with the first racking expected sometime the first week of December. More...
